Francis Fukuyama in Lviv: «Democracy That Delivers: Building Effective Private/Public Coalition»

Lviv Business School of the Ukrainian Catholic University in cooperation with Management School of the Ukrainian Catholic University invite business representatives to the meeting with Dr. Francis Fukuyama, Director of the Centre of Democracy, Development and Supremacy of Law of Stanford University on the topic «Democracy That Delivers: Building Effective Private/Public Coalition».

We will talk with the famous business thinker on the following subjects:
– Which spheres of the country does business influence during the period on transformation and which spheres does not?
– What specific steps and decisions a responsible business should take to provide success of the country as a whole?

To whom the meeting may concern: business owners and top-managers.

Francis Fukuyama holds position of Senior Research Scientist, founded in the honor of Freeman Spogli, he is the Director of the Centre of Democracy, Development and Supremacy of Law of Stanford University, as well as the Honorary Professor of Political Sciences Department. In the past the worked at School of Perspective International Research of Paul Nitze in the University of Johns Hopkins .

Dr. F.Fukuyama wrote plenty of works, related to the matter of democratization and international political economy. His book “The end of history and the last man”, published in 1992 has already been issued in 20 languages. His last book is “Political Order and Political Decay: From the Industrial Revolution to the Globalization of Democracy”.

He is the chief of the editorial board of the newspaper «The American Interest», which was founded due to his assistance. During 2001-2004 years he was a member of Executive Council in Bioethics. He is a member of Board of Governors at High school named after F.Pardi, American Association of Political Sciences, Board of International Relations and Walker’s Alliance. Dr. Fukuyama received a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Political Sciences as well as a degree of Bachelor of Art in Cornell University and gained a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in in RAND Corporation and worked twice as a member of Policy Planning Staff in the US State Department.Political Sciences (PhD) in Harvard.
