Corporate Social Responsibility

The modern crisis has examined the level of maturity of all companies around the world and in CEE countries particularly on the CSR issue. CSR Programs are usually not enough developed and implemented in the long-term strategy of companies and wrongly interpreted by businesses and governments as well. That is why LvBS sees its role and responsibility in the nurturing of reliable leaders from both the scientific and human points of view and in the improving of skills and knowledge of managers on CSR issues.

LvBS develops the understanding of CSR concept among companies as well as CSR functions in the company through creation and distribution the access to its intellectual resources on this topic in the Ukrainian business environment.

        - We develop business cases on CSR issues:

        1)  Joint caseof Concern Galnaftogaz and LvBS «Implementation of the" Green Office " won in the first all-Ukrainian competition of business cases on CSR in the category" Environment protection";

       2) In 2010 LvBS became one of two representatives from Ukraine who worked on writing a Case in the framework of the European Association of EABIS: 2009 Research, Education and Training initiative;

      - This year LvBS conducted the research "Developing the Global Leaders of Tomorrow in Central and Eastern Europe" and published the "Competencies of Responsible Leaders in the context of Central and Eastern Europe" publication.

        LvBS held a number of events and activities on CSR:

      - In March 2011 LvBS became a coorganiser of educational program "Non-financial reporting" for Investor Relations Managers, CSR Managers and External Communications Managers.

- In December 2010 LvBS in partnership with the Community of Socially Responsible Business held an international conference "Developing the responsible leadership in CEE" This event was conducted in partnership with international associations CEEMAN and EABIS.

- LvBS participated in the Symposium of CEE Catholic Universities on improving the quality of education in the region, combining spirituality and study (May 2008) and also in the General Assembly of the European Federation of Catholic Universities (Fédération des Universités Catholiques Européennes) on humanization of society through efficient study, scientific work and ministry mission of Catholic Universities (May 2010).
