LvBS – Gold Partner IT Arena 2017: Growth Hacking, Тech Trends, and Networking

The biggest IT conference in Ukraine and Eastern Europe will again gather hundreds of IT experts, developers, CEOs, startups and all people who are interested in technology. The conference will take place from 29 of September until 1 October 2017 at Arena Lviv stadium. It is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the Eastern European IT Market, to network, and to discover new business ideas, which were created and produced in Ukraine. Let’s take a look at the IT Arena 2017 program and new features.

Speakers

The IT Arena organizers have worked hard during the whole year choosing and inviting extraordinary speakers with colossal experience in the IT industry to Lviv, who founded and grew their own business, who reached success, and who are ready to share their own knowledge in Lviv – the capital of Ukraine’s fast-growing IT industry. Among the speakers are people from well-known companies such as:

  • Samar Singla, Founder and CEO of Jugnoo;
  • Mike Butcher from the biggest website about the world’s hottest tech news TechCrunch;
  • Eugene Borukhovich, a Global Head, Digital Health Incubation & Innovation at Bayer;
  • Marvin Liao, a Partner at 500 Startups, a global Seed Venture Capital Firm & Startup Accelerator based in Silicon Valley;
  • Julien Simon, a Principal Technical Evangelist at Amazon Web Services;
  • Alvaro Costa, CEO of Synthetic Data and a professor of Big Data at Madrid’s EOI.

There will be three live streams – business, product, and technology. The main speakers of IT Arena will be announced very soon.

Tech Expo

The Tech Expo is the big exposition of Ukrainian technology. The participants will present their ideas, apps, drones, devices, smart technologies, and robots, which were designed or produced in Ukraine. All the startups and IT companies who work in 3D printing, Robotics, Drones, Wearable technologies, Augmented & Virtual Reality, IT Solutions, Smart home, and Smart city fields are invited to participate in the Tech Expo. Moreover, the Tech Expo is a good platform for the growth of startups. Senstone, the participant from last year, has now become the most popular Ukrainian startup, which raised more than 300 000 $ on Kickstarter.

Startup Competition

IT Arena is not just a conference, it is also a place for sharing experiences, and a possibility to tell the whole tech world about your ideas. The Startup competition is the best way to do this. The best young Ukrainian and international startups will be presented during the competition at the first day of the conference on September 29. The 10 best startups will be chosen by the jury and presented on the main stage of the IT Arena conference on the second day. The jury will select the winners, who will receive great gifts from IT Arena partners and sponsors. The previous year’s winners got the invitations to Startup Safari, Slush 100 Pitching Competition, and Grand Finale at Central European Startup Awards.

Futureland Festival

The second day of the IT Arena conference will finish with Futureland Festival, the big festival of technology and electronic music. Last year more than 4400 people have visited the festival. 2017 will only be the second year the festival is taking place, but thanks to its dynamic atmosphere and unparalleled party spirit, it has already become one of the most anticipated events in any electronic music lover’s calendar.

IT Arena is also a place for networking, looking for business partners, new employees, and investors. Business France – the agency that works within the Embassy of France and supports French companies working on export projects in Ukraine. Invest in Pomerania, the Polish regional initiative which helps to build connections between investors and employees in the North of the country will also be present at IT Arena 2017.

Meetups

IT Arena will experiment this year by transferring all the conference events from the stadium to the old city center on the third day. It is an opportunity to introduce the perfect charming Lviv atmosphere to the international guests and at the same time involve local citizens in the tech world. More than 30 meetups on different interesting topics will take place in 10 restaurants and co-working spaces around UNESCO heritage Rynok Square, the heart of Lviv’s city center. The meetups are open for IT Arena participants, but you need to register for them in advance. The meetups will be held from 11 am until 7 pm on Sunday, October 1. IT Arena will finish with a party in the city center – on Arsenalna Street, which is a lovely way to end the conference with tasty local food in an informal atmosphere.
