The Intro 2010 International Visionary Conference
On April 16-17, 2010, Lviv Business School of UCU (LvBS) organised The INTRO International Visionary Conference, which brought together business representatives, Ukrainian and international experts, teachers and the LvBS community and became an unique platform for exchanging views and working out new solutions. The participants discussed the future of the Ukrainian business for the next five years: trends, environment, business models, visions and relationships between business and the society.
Leading experts, best top managers and visionaries shared their visions of the development of the business environment and the society. Among them were Debora Revoltella, Chief Economist of Economic Research Department of CEE UniCredit Group, Edilberto Segura, Chief Economist and Partner SigmaBleyzer, Chair of the Advisory Board Bleyzer Foundation, Yuriy Logush, Vice-president Kraft Foods International, Volodymyr Lavrenchuk, Chairman of the Board of Directors Raiffeisen Bank Aval, Andriy Khudo, President of the Board of Directors !FEST Holding of Emotions, and more than twelve well-known in academic and business circles guests.
80 conference participants and 20 experts debated about the business environment of Ukraine for the next five years.
"The society should foster a culture for communications about changes. This would help to get ready for such changes. It is also important for the society that its leaders speak openly about their views and expectations, share their plans and visions with people, and consequently gain their trust", said Volovymyr Lavrenchuk, Chairman of the Board of Directors Raiffeisen Bank Aval.
"I think, the greatest value of this conference is that it has brought together some good people that have done a lot for Ukraine. We hear very optimistic messages, and they are optimistic not because the situation is easy, but because they are expressed by very successful people. It is important that such a community takes some time to contemplate about the causes of the current situation and prospects for changes, and disregarding the practical outcomes, it helps to gain more trust in each other. Thus, this is a pledge for changes", Fr.Borys, Rector of UCU comments the results of the conference.
"On the whole, such a thing as a vision remains unknown in our country. This state is often transferred on our business, and sometimes on us, as individuals," said Opatska Sofia, Director of Lviv Business School.
Andriy Khudo, President of the Board of Directors !FEST holding of emotions stressed that any business required intellectual concepts and ideas; a business growth would very much depend upon their implementation.
