Transparent tender is the measure of democracy, - Krzysztof Zanussi at "Business Credo"

Transparent tender is the measure of democracy. Until the tender issues are settled over the phone, there's going to be no democracy. And for the development and growth of the country democracy is necessary, otherwise there will be a handful of rich people, and all the others will be poor.

This is the idea voiced by a famous Polish producer Krzysztof Zanussi on 6 June in Kyiv during the meeting within the framework of the discussion club "Business Credo" with the topic "Business and art" organized by Lviv Business School (LvBS) of the Ukrainian Catholic University. The Director General of ICTV channel Oleksandr Bohutskyy acted as the facilitator at the meeting.

In the opinion of the famous Polish producer, foreign investors are afraid of instability in Ukraine. "This is the fear that politics can suppress economy. In Ukraine there is no stable political tradition nowadays, and it is very difficult to form political elite from scratch: you have a gap between the intelligentsia and the people. However, the fact that Ukrainian have survived for 20 years without any catastrophes already means maturity. You also have cultural renaissance undergoing, therefore I believe in your historical chances".

In Krzysztof Zanussi's opinion, the present-day drawbacks of Ukraine can transform into a chance for its development. "For example, Japan as a nation managed to get united around technologies, since they did not have anything else, and they have made a great breakthrough".

The meetings with the discussion club "Business Credo" constitute the opportunity for owners and top managers to communicate in the "business talk" format with the top thinkers and leaders of social opinion of the Ukrainian and international environment. The rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University father doctor Borys Gudziak and vice-rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University, human rights activist Myroslav Marynovych have already been as guests to "Business Credo".
