IT Managers from Ukraine Begin Studying at First in Eastern Europe Program in Technology Management
Twenty-three participants – managers of IT companies from Lviv, Ternopil, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, and Kharkiv – began studying in the top technology management program in Eastern European – MS in Technology Management.
The Master’s degree in Technology Management at the Lviv Business School of UCU has been developed together with Lviv IT-BPO Cluster for IT professionals seeking to extend and update their knowledge in management, advanced computing subjects and soft skills.
According to the Dean of LvBS Sophia Opatska, the curriculum of the program was made according to the best analogues in the world: “For us as a business school, it is important that you, your teams, your companies became successful thanks to the knowledge and skills you acquire here,” Sophia Opatska said to the participants. “In the program, we will not go into the details of technological knowledge but talk to you, people with experience, about how technology should meet the needs of your customers. We want the IT industry and its representatives to look at their customers not locally, but globally.”
The main speaker at the launch of the second group was Theo Shnitfink, founder and CEO of the Symphony Solutions. He spoke about the new challenges for the IT industry in Ukraine and offered answers to these challenges: “Business must become more global, and we as the IT industry can contribute to the development of Ukraine, and this is what society expects from us. For example, Symphony Solutions supports only those universities where there is no bribery – implement this practice in your companies. The country has never been so ready to implement these changes.”
Theo Shnitfink urged participants to learn from each other and share their experiences: “The main reason why you're here is to share knowledge and build long-term relationships.”
