Alumni reviews

Nazar Hembara

Co-founder, CEO BotsCrew, Class of 2024

The UCU Business School community and education provided me with an inner strength to stay grounded as an individual during the full-scale invasion. This was key for me to continue being the leader my team and company needed. I gained more confidence in my decisions and had the opportunity to turn to the community for advice.

I realized the importance of not fearing risks and making decisions. The results speak for themselves: we nearly doubled our revenue during the full-scale invasion and quickly adapted to the rapid changes in the artificial intelligence market.

Serhii Naida

Vice President of Engineering в GlobalLogic Ukraine, Class of 2024

For me, UCU Business School is a platform of opportunities. The program allowed me to shift my role from operational business management to a more tactical and strategic level, focusing on long-term expertise development. The School helped me shape a vision that now serves as a foundation for my growth.

Thanks to my studies here, I was able to define my future path, understand how I can contribute in my current role, and find ways to make an impact on Ukraine’s victory

Lyubomyr Demkiv

Director, Robotics & Advanced Automation у SoftServe Ukraine, Class of 2024

Studying at UCU Business School allowed me to shift my focus and integrate a business perspective into my work. The School not only provides new knowledge but also connects you with like-minded individuals who share your vision and with whom you can create something greater for Ukraine’s victory.

They say the first trillionaires on our planet will be those investing in space today. Since the future lies in this direction, it is where we should strive to be. This idea led to the initiative for SoftServe to develop its own space-focused direction.

Victoria Yaremchuk

Chief Executive Officer в Farsight Vision, Class of 2023

I didn’t believe it when, at the first meeting with alumni, they were talking about how the MSc in Technology Management program at the UCU Business School changed their lives, not only professionally. But now I am very happy to experience this myself.

The Business School, and specifically the MSc in Technology Management, is about respect, support, opportunities, and community. And it’s about equal opportunities and support, respect, and diversity within the community, regardless of age, gender, or field of activity. Thank you, UCU!

Viktoria Moroz

QA consultant/QA architect at 50 hertz Transmission GmbH, Class of 2022

I joined the program with an engineering background and the goal of systematizing my knowledge. While working with international clients, I always had the feeling that they knew something more, that they had this business component. I joined the program to systematize my knowledge, and I received that in full measure.

During my studies, I changed several companies, had the opportunity to see processes at different enterprises, and apply the knowledge I gained at the Business School. This allowed me to understand what was happening and better define my career path. I came to realize what I truly want and where to move next.

Matthew Bass

Professor at Carnegie Mellon University, USA

We regularly see new technology programs emerging. They typically focus on technological trends (recent examples: data science, intelligent systems, cybersecurity). However, we often forget that not all technologies are self-sufficient; they are used within the context of specific activities.

What I like most about this program at the UCU Business School is that it is one of the few in the world that focuses on providing the skills and knowledge necessary to gain strategic advantages in technology management. The impact of this program is evident, and it is a great honor to be involved in its development.

Alejandro Danilishin

West Region Service Line leader, Deloitte Digital(San Francisco).

Currently, technologies are more accessible and easier to learn than ever before. The widespread use of technological progress drives the emergence of new business models and opportunities that didn’t exist before. This rapid pace of technological innovation requires empirical thinking, focused on the importance of business and its ethical implications. A technology manager must understand business principles, have a healthy approach to value creation, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit.

The program provides students with this knowledge and valuable practical experience. The instructors are global experts who enhance students’ business competence and improve their managerial and leadership qualities. Equipped with these skills, they will be able to implement changes in society.

Scott Sehlhorst

Product Management and Strategy Consultant, Head of Tyner Blain, Professor of Product Management Course

What I like about the MSc in Technology Management program is that participants develop the skills and expertise necessary to manage a business focused specifically on creating technologies. I was impressed by the tasks completed by the students I taught. Their work was some of the best I have ever seen. This approach to learning not only demonstrates their capability and responsibility but also reflects the quality of the curriculum and how they apply what they have learned.

Nazar Tymoshyk

Founder and CEO of UnderDefence, Class of 2017

The first and most important fact is that the MSc in Technology Management program provides the opportunity to see other people and their work. The program also allows you to discover real business through the lens of education. It’s somewhat like flying in an airplane and observing the full picture from above. It’s a kind of network where people talk about their plans, challenges, and how they tackle them.

Such an experience is invaluable. The program gave me an understanding of what I truly want. I want to experiment. I realized that if I don’t build a system from scratch, I won’t be interested in further improving it. Since I saw the whole picture, both at the micro and macro levels, I now have a desire to try everything, investing my own time and energy.

Antonina Skrypnyk

Client Partner, голова Financial Services Lab, SoftServe, Class of 2017

This is truly a special program. It’s a place where experts, the best global business practices, and top opportunities in the industrial sector are brought together. The lecturers here are world-class experts, people with whom your colleagues could only dream of taking selfies. Test your limits here. Develop your competence. Surprise your company and colleagues with the energy of change. Accelerate your growth and transform. Just do it!

Yuriy Haiduchok

As a master’s program in business administration, this program equips you with strategic thinking skills in management, technology, and collaboration. It’s a long-term focus that broadens your perspective and helps you move and develop in multiple directions simultaneously.

The knowledge you gain here will continue to serve you long after the program ends. If your goal is continuous personal development (or lifelong learning), this is exactly the place you need to be. It’s where experienced lecturers and smart students come together. The rapid pace of learning has a positive impact on you and increases the chances of success for your business.
