Design Thinking for Leaders

Leadership in a complex world begins where dialogue with the team and space for experimentation and co-creation come together. In complex and uncertain environments, traditional decision-making tools often fall short. This interactive workshop introduces design thinking as a powerful approach to making better, more human-centred decisions, especially when problems are ambiguous, fast-moving, or high-stakes.

Participants will engage in a hands-on design challenge, reflect on their own decision-making habits, and explore practical tools for reframing problems, challenging assumptions, and generating more innovative options. Through discussion and reflection, the session will demonstrate how design thinking can shift decision-making from reactive and analytical to exploratory, reflective, and creative. This workshop is designed as a starting point: participants will leave with a practical worksheet and resources to continue developing their decision-making practice beyond the session.
