The 6th international conference IT Weekend Ukraine, powered by the IT company SoftServe, announces that the registration is now open. The event will be held on September 16, in Kyiv, presenting international speakers.
The topic of this-year conference covers “Robots & Machines” direction. What digital transformations are taking place now and what is ahead? This year IT Weekend Ukraine will gather worldwide experts who will share practical experience and latest developments in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Big Data, Data Science, Bots and Machine Learning.
The conference will feature Dr Alex Tayler, Chief Data Officer of Cambridge Analytica, as a keynote speaker. Cambridge Analytica has played a pivotal role in winning presidential races as well as congressional and state elections in the US. At IT Weekend Ukraine, Dr Alex Tayler will talk about the power of big data and psychographics. Particularly, how the combination of big data, quantitative psychology and addressable communications technology is poised to fundamentally disrupt the advertising industry. This talk will examine how these technologies work together and give examples of how this powerful new offering can be applied in political, commercial and social contexts.

A number of speeches at the conference will be delivered in the format of FuckUp Nights. IT Edition. It offers the speakers’ business failure stories and defeats. These are the stories of successful people about the failures they faced but also what they learned from it.
The event will end up with a festive awarding ceremony, recognizing the best IT experts – the winners of Ukrainian IT Awards.
This year the conference involves a charitable component. 25% of the cost of each ticket will go to SoftServe corporate charitable fund “Open Eyes” to implement the project “Positive Rooms“.
