«After 2014, we realized that our task should be more meaningful than to be a good and high-quality business school in the region. We have started to join new directions: export development; we have joined medical reform, training the heads of medical institutions; we are researching leadership and teaching the Ukrainian army in leadership. Thus, our influence has become much more significant than just the development of companies.
The new slogan of UCU Business School will be «Growing Country by Growing Companies and People» , says Sophia Opatska, Dean-Founder and Chairman of the LvBS Supervisory Board, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development of UCU.

There are three reasons for this:
- We are constantly growing. Compared to creating the existing logo and name of the business school, when we were a school with one MBA program, we scaled into a business school with five master’s programs and more than 25 management programs.
- Our community of alumni and professors has become truly powerful— more than five hundred alumni in our community and more than a thousand graduates of executive programs.
- We are part of UCU. Today it is no longer a regional university. UCU is an educational institution with an influence on a national scale. As a UCU Business School, we are also working at the level of change in the country. We believe that only strong companies and brands with ethical approaches and global thinking can strengthen Ukraine domestically and its brand on the world map.
What was the process of change, how to choose the best logo and slogan, and why the name of the brand is «UCU Business School», tells the marketing team:
«Why do brands change? There are two main reasons. For the client is an updated value proposition. For the brand it is the new challenges and increasing brand influence. It is an expression of new business dreams and goals of the company. Why has Lviv Business School been rebranded? The marketing team has the following principal reasons for this: changing the position of UCU Business School in the market – from regional to global.
The internal marketing team of UCU Business School worked on the company’s rebranding: marketers, PR managers, designers, and video production manager. External experts, analysts, and brand agencies were also involved. Before the rebranding, research and in-depth interviews were conducted with potential and existing customers. A rebranding strategy was developed in complete synergy, and a rebranding implementation plan was developed from December 2021 to April 2022».
