Eternal memory to Yaroslav Rushchyshyn!

25 Jul 2025

Today, our community has suffered a painful loss — Yaroslav Rushchyshyn has died in a tragic car accident.
He was one of the co-founders of the UCU Business School, a long-standing member of its Supervisory Board, an honorary senator of the Ukrainian Catholic University, an entrepreneur, public figure, and Member of Parliament. A man who, for decades, embodied change, shaped the environment, and inspired action.

It was Yaroslav who initiated the creation of the UCU Business School and became its spiritual core. He stood with us during the most challenging times, celebrated even the smallest victories, and in the face of adversity, always supported new ideas for development. He was proud of the team and our graduates and remained an inexhaustible source of inspiration.

For the UCU Business School, this is not just the loss of a founder. We have lost the person who laid the foundation of our identity. His vision, values, and belief in people became a guiding light for all of us. In Yaroslav’s words lies the essence of his mission:

“It’s inspiring that in difficult times for our country, there are people motivated to develop their own businesses and work on bringing new projects to life. All of this will strengthen us from within, and I’m happy that our Business School has the opportunity to contribute to creating a new generation.”

Yaroslav Rushchyshyn believed in this new generation — in young entrepreneurs who build responsible businesses, in leaders who put the common good above personal gain, in people capable of creating a new Ukraine. And he himself was one of them. He lived by his values, worked for the people, and always remained sincere, open, and authentic.

This is an enormous loss for us. But it also brings a deep responsibility — to continue his work, to build the kind of Ukraine he believed in.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family — his wife Yaryna, his son Hnat, his loved ones, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing Yaroslav.

Eternal memory. We will carry it with us always.
