Road to Recovery

An international, interdisciplinary, university-wide, practice-oriented course that brings together a cohort of faculty from diverse universities (Harvard University, Syracuse University, Stanford University, Oxford University, University of Notre Dame and University of Colorado) to work on real-world projects aimed at Ukraine’s recovery across various sectors of the economy and society. These include post-war reconstruction, artificial intelligence applications, national security architecture and the development of resilient communities and institutions. International faculty mentors bring expertise in fields such as law, security policies, design, business, investigative journalism, governance, and sustainable economic development.

Business on the Frontlines, University of Notre Dame, USA

Business on the Frontline is a transformative program at the University of Notre Dame that harnesses the power of business to address critical societal challenges. Since 2008, students have engaged in over 70 projects across industries such as mining, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and education. Participants develop innovative solutions through hands-on experience, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strategic problem-solving. In 2023, students from UCU Business School participated in Business on the Frontline and worked together on strategic development projects for the UCU Foundation in Poland, which aims to unite and support Ukrainians in Poland, particularly in Wrocław. The program’s impact summaries provide insights into project execution, key recommendations, and the tangible outcomes achieved by each team.
