Statement of the UCU Business School

24 Jul 2025

Today, amid the full-scale war, as Ukraine fights daily for its right to freedom, dignity, and independence, it is especially important to preserve trust — between citizens and the state, society and government, Ukraine and its international partners.

At this time, the UCU Business School is particularly aware of its responsibility as an educational and expert institution that nurtures a new generation of leaders — free, dignified, and committed to European values.

The signing of Law No. 4555-IX (draft law No. 12414) has become a symbolic moment that has caused deep concern among our communities in Ukraine and abroad. While the UCU Business School respects diverse opinions and perspectives, it cannot ignore the public alarm that has emerged due to the lack of transparency in the process, erosion of institutional trust, and the potential retreat from democratic and European principles.

At a time when Ukrainians are paying the highest price for the right to be part of the free world, every government decision must be not only legally sound but also morally clear — both to society and to international partners.

The UCU Business School stands for:

the renewal of open dialogue between the government, civil society, business, and international partners;

consistent adherence to the principles of transparency and accountability in decision-making;

the preservation of the independence of anti-corruption institutions as a guarantee of justice and equality before the law.

The UCU Business School firmly believes that only by preserving its democratic course, openness, and partnerships can Ukraine endure, win, and build a resilient European state.

The UCU Business School will continue to stand by the values that strengthen the country.
