The UCU Business School – 18 years of shaping responsible leadership in Ukraine

6 Feb 2026

In February 2026, the Ukrainian Catholic University Business School will celebrate its 18th anniversary. During this time, it has become one of the leading business education institutions in Ukraine, working with managers, entrepreneurs, and leaders of change both during periods of economic growth and in the context of full-scale war.

Recent years have significantly transformed the demand for business education. War, prolonged uncertainty, and structural economic changes have confronted managers with questions not only about efficiency but also about responsibility: how to make decisions in conditions of resource scarcity, retain teams, and build long-term strategies in an unstable environment. In this context, the UCU Business School focuses on developing responsible leadership, ethical entrepreneurship, and management communities.

18 years

“Today, business education in Ukraine is not about classic management tools. It is about the ability of leaders to work with uncertainty, take responsibility for people and decisions, and think long-term, even when the planning horizon is reduced to a few months or even weeks,” says Yaryna Boichuk, CEO of the UCU Business School.

An important area of development for the school is international partnerships and participation in global academic and research networks. Through educational programs, public discussions, and cooperation with foreign institutions, the school integrates Ukrainian management experience into the international context and strengthens Ukraine’s presence in global professional circles.

Over the past 18 years, a community of more than 800 master’s graduates has formed around the UCU Business School—company executives, entrepreneurs, and managers working in the private, public, and civil sectors in Ukraine and abroad. This community is one of the school’s main assets and a driver for spreading the values of responsible management.

Today, the UCU Business School offers five master’s programs and 20 management development programs, combining academic expertise with practical experience in Ukrainian and international business. It brings together 150 teachers from Ukraine and abroad. Throughout the year, approximately 3,000 people participate in the school’s educational programs and events, and 180 earn master’s degrees. The school’s educational solutions are aimed at owners, managers, and entrepreneurs who work in highly complex environments and need systematic thinking rather than cookie-cutter answers.

To mark its 18th anniversary, the school is holding Open House 2026, a series of open events, meetings, and professional discussions about the future of business, leadership, and management education in Ukraine. The event on February 14 will serve as a platform for discussing the key challenges of the modern business environment and the role of education in shaping responsible management decisions. We invite you to participate!

The UCU Business School thanks its community — students, alumni, faculty, and partners—as well as the defenders of Ukraine, who make the development of education, entrepreneurship, and leadership possible even in the most difficult times.
