We present a collection of conceptual essays that attempt to reflect on and explore the phenomenon of university resilience in the context of war. The volume is dedicated to the theme of resilience—how academic institutions can adapt, endure, and recover in times of crisis and war.
The essays offer readers a broad range of perspectives, hypotheses, and examples, as well as a deep understanding of the international context and the lived experience of university life. The collection also includes a case study—specifically of one of the faculties of UCU Business School during Russia’s full-scale invasion—IIECI Texts.
The works address the moral and ethical dimensions of how universities operate amid major societal challenges.
The authors of the essays are: Volodymyr Turchynovskyi, Clemens Sedmak, Czesław Porębski, Sofiia Opatska, Yaryna Boichuk, Paul Perrin, and Edward J. Alam.
