HR Friday, Change Management for HR: Change yourself or die

Lviv Business School of UCU  (LvBS) invites to HR Friday: Change yourself or die. What the use of Change Management Competence in HR in Lviv with MA in Human Resources and Organisation Development LvBS master programme alumni, Culture&Engagement Manager of Metro Cash&Carry Olena Sklyarenko.

Shall we talk about the following:
The ways companies develop (combination of sustainable development and transformations). Sustainable development is indicated as a prime growth and company development strategy by the majority of companies. However, if to take a closer look, it appears they all are experiencing a period of great transformations.  Why does it happen so? – Due to the fact that sustainable development, Organisation Development, Kaizen and others facilitate gradual and unhurried development whereas technologies annually make huge leaps forward. So each company practicing sustainable development ends up in conditions requiring substantial changes. Such substantial changes are called transformations. Company development, therefore, looks like the combination of small steps and giant leaps, mainly transformations, making Change Management a job of the future and a vital competence of today, possessed by few companies. Four transformation types: change of strategy, structural transformation, business process change, cultural transformation. As we see only one out of four types is directed outwards (though having an effect on all the other aspects) with the majority of transformations being inner and their success relying on people’s approval of such a transformation.
Options of transformation team organizing. Who should be in a transformation team?
Peculiarities of each transformation type implementation: the key question raised by HR itself in respect of different transformation types.
