Winners of the UСU Business School Alumni Awards 2022

22 Nov 2022

Special congratulations to this year’s winners of the UCU Business School Alumni Awards! After all, this is an extremely difficult year with many challenges for both the country and business, social challenges and hardening of leadership character. Therefore, both the nominations themselves and their meanings were changed. And today, during the LvBS Alumni Leadership Day, these awards were presented.

So, the award in the Service and Impact 2022 category (social responsibility of a wartime leader in action, impact on society, community development and social responsibility) was won by Inga Kordynovska, a graduate of the MSc in Innovations and Entrepreneurship program.

Inga is from Odesa, she owns a legal company. From the first days of the war, she took up volunteering and founded the humanitarian volunteer center of Odesa (public organization “City Advocacy”). In fact, they and their team started all the processes from scratch and in the first two months of the war, they turned into one of the largest centers in the south, which helps, at least, all of eastern Ukraine. Andriy Bandrivskyy, Key Executive MBA graduate, co-founder of the Gorgany company, received The Business Breakthrough 2022 award (breakthrough in business during the war, development of the industry as a whole, export, implementation of innovative solutions).

This year, the Gorgany company managed to strengthen its position in Romania and the Czech Republic, to expand production under the Turbat brand. In the spring, almost 14,000 new products were made in Turbat for the needs of the military era (thermal underwear, fleece, sleeping bags). In May, Gorgany intensified export activities. Became participants in the ISPO exhibition, found new distributors: Switzerland, Estonia, Moldova. This month they received an ISPO award for the Ultar Down Sleeping Bag – it’s a kind of Oscar of travel gear and the first award of this level for a Ukrainian travel gear brand.

In the nomination The Leadership through Resilience 2022 (an example of leadership and recovery, adaptability and speed, launching a service which is critically needed in wartime or which did not exist before) the victory was won by Iryna Fishchuk, graduate of MA in Human Resources and Organization Development.

Iryna works in Ivano-Frankivsk, implements innovative solutions, launches services critically needed in times of war, develops the local community. Currently, Iryna is working on two important projects: a food line for military personnel in the field. This is ready-made homemade food (Food of Victory) for extreme conditions, as well as Christmas table dishes for our soldiers.

The second project is assistance in the relocation of small and medium-sized businesses, craft producers etc – this project is called Ridni. Initially, the project worked in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, now Iryna is preparing a similar project for the Lviv region to help relocated businesses better understand the specifics of the regions and make optimal decisions for themselves.

Congratulations on this recognition from the LvBS Community!
