Everything he asked for was a prayer… Today, with a heavy heart and deep sorrow, we share the sad news. The Business School community of UCU expresses its sincere condolences on the passing of Oleg Vorobyov. On May 30th, Oleg was killed in action during the brutal war by the hands of the Russian aggressor, fighting for our freedom. He was a participant of the Master of Science in Technology Management program at the Business School of UCU, COO at The Spares Expert Ltd, and founder of a psychological assistance course for the fighters of the anti-terrorist operation “Happy Together”.
While fighting on the front, Oleg wrote: “I think we endure all these sufferings and pains to learn greater empathy, compassion, and love for our neighbors, and to become closer to God. ‘Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep!’ (Romans 12:15). I hope that after this war, I and we all will become more responsive to this quote.”
“War takes away our best. We met Oleg when he returned for the first time from the ATO. Since then, Oleg has been a constant and active participant in our community. Oleg was an example to us in his love for family and Ukraine, which were evident in all his actions and words, as well as in his demands of himself and others, in his education and business. Our community has lost a dedicated friend and entrepreneur who could have made a huge contribution to our future and that of Ukraine,” – Yaryna Boychuk, CEO of the Business School of UCU.
We will remember Oleg as a true patriot, entrepreneur, and loving father.
Rest in peace, soldier! We will continue to pray for you!
We express our sincere condolences to Oleg’s wife Olga and all of his relatives.
Eternal memory!
