“I think we all go through these sufferings and pain in order to learn greater empathy, compassion, and love for our neighbors and to become closer to God,” said Oleg Vorobyov. We encourage anyone who wishes to join the fundraising for the scholarship fund in honor of the Hero.

At the initiative of the Ukrainian Catholic University’s Business School and the Oleg Vorobyov family, an honorary scholarship fund in honor of the Hero has been opened at the university. During the annual alumni meeting, Alumni Leadership Day 2022, we were able to collect over 550,000 hryvnias through our joint efforts. The goal is to raise $75,000 for an endowment fund that will generate an annual scholarship in Oleg Vorobyov’s name and will be directed towards educational expenses for new members of the community.

Thanks to charitable initiatives and voluntary contributions, the fund currently has more than $40,000, which is 55% of the targeted amount. Creating this fund is an opportunity to carve the name of our Hero into the monolith of Ukrainian history. We encourage everyone who is willing to contribute to the Oleg Vorobyov Scholarship Fund. This noble cause will not only help future members of the community receive a worthy education of European standards but also preserve the name of the Hero in the memory of generations who gave their lives for the future of our nation.

And we would like to remind everyone that Oleg Vorobyov was a student of the Master of Science in Technology Management program at the Ukrainian Catholic University’s Business School and the COO of The Spares Expert Ltd. He was a participant in the ATO in Eastern Ukraine and, after returning home, together with his wife, founded a course of psychological support for soldiers of the anti-terrorist operation “Happy Together.” On May 30, 2022, Oleg Vorobyov was killed by a Russian terrorist in the fight for freedom and independence of our state. In honor of the Hero, the scholarship fund has been initiated at UCU. Let us support the Hero’s family with prayers and kind words.
