Academic Experience

Maria is a seasoned applied behavioural insights specialist with over 10 years of experience in strategy, communications and stakeholder engagement. Currently, she serves as a Behavioural Architect Manager at Cowry Consulting (London, UK), an award-winning, global behavioural science consultancy on a mission to make businesses as human as humanly possible (clients include Amazon, Tesco, Sky, HSBC, EasyJet, British Gas and others). Maria is responsible for behaviour change strategy — finding ways to understand behaviours and systems better in order to achieve effective and sustainable behavioural change over time. She holds an MSc in Behavioural Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where she focused her research on behaviour change for sustainability, consumer psychology and well-being. Maria is a registered member of the Global Association of Applied Behavioural Scientists (GAABS). Before joining Cowry, Maria led a Ukrainian purpose-driven innovative consultancy and media Platfor.ma, focused on creative communications, applied behavioural insights and capacity building for positive social change (clients include Fortune 500 businesses, UN, USAID, WHO, UNICEF, WWF, and Ministry of Health). Her expertise extends beyond consultancy work, as she also imparted her expertise as a trainer for Deutsche Welle Akademie, conducting programs across multiple countries.
