Program

The course will help participants understand and navigate complex situations in order to make informed decisions and apply effective management approaches. The program is designed as an immersion into sense-making, complexity, and the tools and methods of the well-established Estuarine mapping and Cynefin® Framework.

Participants who are new to complexity and Cynefin® will explore the challenges of management, leadership, and decision-making in complex human systems through practical engagement and shared sense-making experiences.

Values

The Cynefin Framework was developed in the late 1990s by Dave Snowden while he was at IBM. It serves as a “sense-making device” to understand complex situations and guide decision-making and problem-solving.

  • The framework helps people recognize the radical differences in how to act based on the nature of the system they are dealing with.
  • It emphasizes that solutions are context-specific, not context-free.
  • By using data to identify patterns and the framework, individuals can determine the most appropriate approach for decision-making.
For whom

For entrepreneurs, executives, and team leaders in both private and public organizations, as well as consultants, business trainers, and anyone seeking to better understand how to make decisions in complex and uncertain environments.
